RGen - changes
==============

1.1.0 (four new games and a runtime update; the recompiler and compiler
       are unchanged)
- New games: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (World, Rev A), Road Rash (USA, Europe),
OutRunners (USA) and Micro Machines (Europe). Build them from your own
ROM like the other games (menu entries 5-8). See README.txt for the exact
  ROM versions.
- Optional "Widescreen (16:9 stages)" mod for the four new games, in the
launcher's MODS panel. Widescreen stays OFF by default for every game.
- Save states now work in all eight games. Save/load errors now show the
actual reason (for example "Access is denied" or "no save in this slot").
- Fixed: log lines could be written into rom-<Game>.cfg, which made the game
lose track of its ROM. The cfg is now only rewritten when the ROM changes.
- Games started without a console window write their diagnostics to
  run-stderr.log in the game folder.
- If the stored ROM path no longer opens, the game also tries the short
(8.3) path, other ROM extensions, the OneDrive Desktop and a CRC search of
  nearby folders before asking.
- Runtime fixes for the new games: Z80 bus handshake, nested interrupts in
the interpreter fallback, STOP instruction, HV-counter line waits and
9-bit sprite X where the game needs it.
- The builder (RGen.exe) was rewritten for the eight-game menu. ROM checks
(header, SMD, byte swap, over-dump trimming, known-version names) work as
in 1.0.2. With widescreen off, the four original games look and play as
with 1.0.2. Rebuild a game to get the new runtime; settings.ini and save
files are kept (older save states do not load, as before).

1.0.2 (runtime update; the recompiler and compiler are unchanged)
- New optional widescreen mod for Streets of Rage and Golden Axe:
"Widescreen (16:9 stages)" in the launcher's MODS panel (400x224).
Streets of Rage stage margins are drawn from the game's own level map.
- Widescreen stays OFF by default for every game. Turn it on in MODS.
- With widescreen off, games look and play exactly as with 1.0.1.
- The builder and ROM checks are unchanged from 1.0.1. Rebuild a game to
get the new runtime; settings.ini and save files are kept (save states
from an older build do not load, as before).

1.0.1 (builder only; the recompiler, runtime and compiler are unchanged)
- Known but unsupported ROM versions are now named when you pick them,
e.g. "This is Sonic The Hedgehog (Japan, Europe, Korea) (En) (Rev A)",
with the exact supported version. See README.txt, "ROM VERSIONS".
- Byte-swapped dumps are detected and fixed automatically.
- Over-dumps (the ROM repeated, or padded with 0x00/0xFF up to a power-of-two
size) are trimmed to 512 KiB automatically, with a warning.
- The builder prints what it detected (header, SMD, byte swap, trimming).
- Unknown dumps get a hint about hacks, translations and damaged dumps.
- Games built from the same ROM are identical to 1.0.0 builds.

1.0.0
- First release.
